Focus Modes

Two modes built for attention.

Focus mode clears the noise so you can write. Audience mode turns a page into a clean, readable presentation view. Both are designed to keep your attention on the words, not the UI.

Focus mode

Write without distraction.

Focus mode dims everything except the editor and gives your text more breathing room. It is designed for deep work: planning, journaling, or drafting long pages.

Press Ctrl+Alt+F to enter focus mode. Press it again to exit.

Quiet layout

Panels and visual clutter fade back so the page feels like a blank sheet.

Readable typography

Line spacing and margins expand to encourage longer-form writing.

Stay in flow

Keep keyboard control without bouncing between panels.

Audience mode

Present a page like a document.

Audience mode is built for sharing. It enlarges text, cleans up the canvas, and helps you read or present your notes to a group without a wall of UI chrome.

Press Ctrl+Alt+A to enter audience mode. Press it again to exit.

Adaptive sizing

Use Ctrl+Alt+= or Ctrl+Alt+- to scale text up or down.

Paragraph highlight

Toggle a subtle highlight with Ctrl+Alt+H to guide attention.

Soft scroll

Enable gentle auto-scroll with Ctrl+Alt+S for reading sessions.

Cursor halo

Toggle the cursor halo with Ctrl+Alt+C to keep your place.

When to use them

Switch based on the moment.

Planning

Use focus mode when you are drafting or thinking through complex ideas.

Review

Use audience mode when reading long notes or sharing on a screen.

Teaching

Audience mode keeps attention on the content when presenting to a group.
